A week of painting in New York City. Painting plein air for me is a form of slow travel, a way to truly engage in the spirit of a place to absorb its history by standing before it in a meditative gaze. Allowing the past and present to culminate onto a canvas before me. These are the 5 oil paintings done in situ in four hours.
